This Thursday, March 15, starting at 6:00 p.m. at Buffalo Records in Ventura, Ian Svenonius (of Drag City recording artists Weird War, formerly of The Make-Up, and Nation Of Ulysses) will be conducting a multi-media presentation inspired by his new book, The Psychic Soviet - and Other Works (out now on Drag City Books). Currently in its second printing, this collections of essays on music, culture, and radical politics will be for sale at the event, and Mr. Svenonius will also sign your copy if you ask him nicely.

After this free, all-ages, Buffalo Records in-store appearance, DJs Name Names (Ian Svenonius) and Selector Dub Narcotic (K Records founder Calvin Johnson, of Beat Happening and Dub Narcotic Sound System) will be spinning records at The Mercury Lounge in Goleta starting at about 9:00 p.m. 21+ only.

Both events are sponsored by KCSB 91.9 FM.
